How to add your logo

Your logo can be inserted into the Word document itself.  You'll probably want to put it in your template.  You'll do that here: http://agileinspections.com/DocumentManagement

The best way is to ...

  1. Click "Edit"
  2. Click "Get a Copy" next to the ReportIntroduction document.  This will download a Word document.
  3. Open that Word document and insert your logo.
  4. Save it.
  5. Drag it back onto the web page where it says "drop files from your computer"

From then on, every time you generate a report, your logo will appear.

How do I get my name to appear in the report?

Two ways ...

 You can just upload a Word document with your name and company typed right into the document.  Upload that here: AgileInspections.com/DocumentManagement 

Or you can put "InspectorFirstName" wherever you want your first name to go and "InspectorLastName" where you want your last name to go.  These will be populated as long as you've put your name and other data in here: http://agileinspections.com/Account/Update 

How to edit my report template

Your report template can be made up of many documents. To add a document, drag a Word document from your computer to the box at the bottom of the page.

To rearrange them drag any document and drop it where you'd like it to go.

To edit one of the documents, hit the "Edit" button at the top. It'll show you some new buttons. One of them says "Get a copy". Click that to download a copy of the document. Then open it in Microsoft Word, save it, and drag it back into that box that says "drop files from your computer here". Tell it you're sure you want to clobber the old copy.

To delete one, hit the "Edit" button and then the "Delete" button.

Adding photos (pictures)

You can have as many photos as you like associated with a finding.  To add a photo to a finding ...

  1. Click/tap on the finding. A toolbar appears.
  2. Click on the camera icon
  3. Choose the photo you want associated

There you go.  You'll see it appear underneath the finding.  It will also be in the final report underneath the finding.

But what if my photo isn't already there?

How do I create a Word document?

  • From your dashboard, find the inspection and click the Report button.
  • From within the inspection itself, there's a menu option in the upper-right that says Make Word Report.  Click that.
  • The Word report will immediately download into your browser which usually tries to put it in your Downloads folder.  It will be named like the street address of the home being inspected but will have a .docx extension.
  • Once it is downloaded, you can just open it in Microsoft Word by double-clicking on it in your Downloads folder.  

Of course you have to have Word to open it.  And remember that iPads, iPhones, and non-Microsoft tablets don't usually have Word loaded.  So you have to transfer it to your PC to read the Word document.

How do I add standard findings?

Simple!  
  1. You go "My Settings" in the upper-right corner.
  2. My trades and standard findings
  3. Hit "Subtrades" to the right of your trade
  4. Hit "Standard Findings" to the right of your subtrade
  5. Hit "Add new standard finding" at the top
Type/paste/dictate your new standard finding.
If it is a problem/deficiency, check the "Is Deficiency" checkbox.
Finally hit "Save"
Easy!
p.s. Don't forget that you can import standard findings also if you prefer!

A Microsoft Word document can only have one set of margins. So those are set based on the first document in your list. To change the margins, get a copy of the first document in your list, edit it and re-upload it. (Click here to get more info on how to edit your documents)
